1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, post a gig, or apply as a Savior on DFWerrands, we collect the following categories of information:
- Contact & Profile Details: Full name, email address, phone number, and business or organization name.
- Geolocation & Physical Addresses: Street addresses, neighborhoods, and geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) provided during account setup and gig creation.
- Payment & Payout Metadata: Transaction audit records, billing identifiers, and Savior payout destinations (ACH details, Zelle, Venmo, or card metadata). Sensitive card numbers are handled via certified payment gateways and never stored in plain text on our servers.
- Platform Communications: Messages sent through the DFWerrands Admin dispatch messaging hub and Savior request forms.
2. How We Use Your Geolocation Data
Precise geographic coordinates are essential to the functionality of the DFWerrands marketplace:
- Pre-Application Mileage Calculation: We compare a Savior's registered home coordinates with job coordinates to compute exact driving distance (e.g. 4.2 miles away) prior to application.
- Optimized Matching: Helping our Admin dispatch team assign nearby qualified Saviors to reduce transit times and carbon footprints.
- Address Privacy: Buyers' exact building or unit numbers are only revealed to the officially assigned Savior once assigned by Admin dispatch.
3. Admin-Mediated Communication & Privacy
To prevent off-platform disintermediation, harassment, and security risks, all user communications are mediated through the DFWerrands Admin hub. Admins monitor messages solely for fulfillment verification, customer support, and dispute resolution.
4. Sharing & Disclosure of Information
DFWerrands does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party data brokers. We share data only with:
- Counterparties to an Assigned Gig: Necessary job details, physical address, and contact numbers once a task is assigned.
- Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure (Supabase / AWS), email delivery services (Resend), and map geocoding partners (Google Maps Platform).
- Legal Compliance: When required by lawful request or subpoena from Texas law enforcement authorities.
5. Security Safeguards
We implement robust security controls including encrypted database connections (TLS 1.3), Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) policies isolating user records, and strict role-based access control.
